Quantification using the Sierra Olympia Technologies Inc. Ventus’ Gas Enhancement Mode (GEM). The GEM mode can increase the detection sensitivity of an emission by a factor of 3 to 7, depending on the environmental conditions. This enables quantification down to a few grams/hr. with the right environmental conditions. Please reference the ETS Appendix K report for the operating window of 5 grams/hr.

Device Integration - The PlumeQuant software can be integrated with other devices to make use of the quantification capabilities in a wide range of applications.

Auto-calibration – if a camera's FOV is not known, the field operator can perform a calibration in the field using known object shapes to establish the camera’s FOV, vertically and horizontally.

Field deltaT calibration – the field operator can perform a field measurement using a Bic lighter to release butane while the PlumeQuant software captures the field data.. Once the images are captured, the temperature differential is saved and used for quantification estimates until the deltaT is measured again.

Auto polarity detection. If the gas emission temperature is greater than the background temperature , the OGI sensor will display the plume as lighter in color, rather than darker. The PlumeQuant software works with either polarity.
